- In the period 1959-1966 he played for «Kairat» Alma-Ata. In the USSR Championship (class «A», the first group of class «A») participated at least in 23 games, scored 4 goals. And played at least 3 games for the USSR Cup. One of the best scorers in Kairat’s double team in the first half of the 60s.
- Since 1960, Omarov has been a sports instructor at the «Kairat» VSS (voluntary sports society) and the VSS «Lokomotiv». Since 1966, he has been a sports commentator for Kazteleradio. Since 1998, he has been a sports commentator for Kazteleradio and the Khabar TV channel. He commented on the matches of «Kairat» Alma-Ata in football, «Dynamo» Alma-Ata in bandy, the Championship and the Cup of Kazakhstan, the national and Olympic team of Kazakhstan. He also was a commentator of the XXII Olympic Games in Moscow (1980).
