- In 2004, the FC Kairat defense player, who became the winner of the Best Footballer of the Year in Kazakhstan, turned 26 years old. He started the season with Coach Leonid Pakhomov, and ended it with Alexey Petrushin. As the FC Kairat coach noted, Samat was distinguished by reliability, skillful leadership of his teammates on the field, and competent vision of the field. In 36 matches played in the golden championship, he scored 4 goals.
- Sam, as his close friends call him, was awarded his second title of Best Footballer of the Season in the 2008 season. The 30-year-old Aktobe team captain was a real leader. He led the team and lit up his partners with his charisma. That year, he and the team won the Super Cup, Cup and Championship of Kazakhstan, which ended in a dramatic extra match against FC Tobol. And in that game he scored a goal from the penalty spot.
