National team of Kazakhstan

  • In the period from December 2005 to September 2008 A. Pijpers was the head coach of the national team of Kazakhstan.
  • Under his leadership, the team played in the two-round group «A» tournament of the XIII European Championship qualification (EURO-2008) and took 6th place out of 8 teams, ahead of the teams of Armenia and Azerbaijan, losing to the teams of Belgium, Finland, Serbia, Portugal and Poland.
  • The team took part in the international tournament in Cyprus and the Cup of the King of Thailand (both in 2006).
  • It became the winner of the international tournament for the ALMA-TV Cup in Shymkent (2007), in which the teams of Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan participated.
  • In total, under the leadership of A. Pijpers, the team played 36 matches: +7-18=11, goals 29-51 (29.6% of points scored).
  • Biggest win: 02.07.2006. Almaty. Kazakhstan – Tajikistan 4:1, 20.08.2008. Almaty. Kazakhstan – Andorra 3:0.
